This room size camera obscura was created as a statement on consumerism. the giant camera obscura contains a pinhole looking out to the street; images formed inside the camera trigger embedded motion sensors to play binaurally recorded sound of everyday human consumption. In living our modern day lives, nearly every move we make connects to consumption; every sound we make connects to that movement. Historically, cameras have been used to capture a moment in time. Enclosed in this camera obscura are ever-evolving moments of daily consumption taking place in the streets outside the gallery.
